Yes indeed, the first 1,000 individuals to cross the finish line will earn complimentary medals.
Will there be t-shirts this year?
Yes indeed, the first 1,000 individuals to register will receive complimentary t-shirts.
How far is 5K?
Can my children participate?
All ages are encouraged to participate, however everyone 13 years of age and older are required to register and pay.
When and where is packet pickup?
Packet pick up takes place at Ogden Park 6500 S. Racine Chicago, IL 60636 on October 20, 2017 from 4pm until 9pm.

What is a timed bib?
A bib with a chip installed to accurately record race results.
Is the race USATF Certified?
Yes! “Ditch the Weight & Guns” Englewood 5K Walk & Run is USATF Certified and Sanctioned
Is it safe to visit the Englewood community to participate in the race?
Absolutely! Our partners Chicago Police Department 007th District worked diligently last year to protect and serve the race and with zero incidents. We look forward to rendering those same results this year.
Where are the proceeds from the race donated?
Proceeds from the race are gifted to William R. Harper High School Athletic and Culinary Department.
When does online registration close?
Sunday, October 15, 2017 at noon.
Will the price increase if I register on the day of the race?
Yes, the price increases to $35 for on site registration.
Will credit cards be accepted if I register on site?
Yes, credit cards will be accepted if you register on site.
Is there race day packet pick up?
Race day packet pickup is open from 8:30am until 9:45am.
Is there parking?
Parking is available near and around Ogden Park. Additionally, parking is available at Whole Foods and Kennedy King College on 63rd and Halsted.
